Description

This Brazilian Avocado ice cream is velvety smooth, creamy, and delicious! It’s a surprisingly wonderful dessert with a dreamy texture – the avocado flavor comes through very subtly with bright hints of lime. It’s also incredibly simple and easy to make with no eggs required.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 medium, ripe Hass avocados
  • 2 Tbsp lime juice (about 1 large, juicy lime)
  • 1 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits and scoop out the flesh. Place the avocado, lime juice, and milk in the blender. Blend until very smooth. Pour through a fine mesh strainer to get any little chunks out.
  2. Combine the avocado mixture, sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and sea salt in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Churn the ice cream mixture in an ice cream maker per manufacturer instructions.
  4. Transfer ice cream to a freezer safe container and seal tightly. Freeze for at least 4-8 hours or until completely solid.
