This easy, 5 minute homemade fajita seasoning will transform all your favorite southwestern and Mexican recipes, adding a ton of flavor and a little spice. Perfect for meats, seafood, soups, beans, rice, and more!
It’s true, we have a LOT of Mexican food in this house. We certainly don’t limit our tacos to Taco Tuesday! Anytime I feel like making a quick fajita, taco soup, or burrito all I have to do is reach over into the pantry and generously douse the whole thing I’m preparing in this delicious seasoning – and we’re good to go! No need to take out ten different types of spices and measure out. So convenient!
This seasoning recipe is so easy to mix together and has some incredible flavor! It will give your meats, seafood, or veggies just the right amount of heat, spice, and that bold flavor you want.
It’s my BEST southwestern fajita seasoning and much better than any of the store bought versions you can buy. Not to mention, you won’t get any preservatives, corn, or extra additives in this one. Bonus: it’s salt-free so you can easily use it in any recipe and control the amount of salt in your dish!
I love that it’s a money saver, too. And a healthier alternative to the store-bought packets, so it’s nice to make your own if you get the chance!

This seasoning set off our beef fajitas very well. I used beef strips that I bought at Earth Fare a while back, and they were labeled “fajita beef.” The meat was too thick but did get pretty tender. We usually get chicken fajita at the Mexican restaurant, and next time, I will use chicken, sliced thin. I sprinkled the seasoning over the meat and veggies while they were cooking, so the flavors really got into the food.
I’m so happy you enjoyed them on the beef fajitas!! Yumm! 😊
Using it on chicken fajita quesadillas tonight! So delicious!
That’s wonderful!! 🙂 I’m so glad to hear it!!
I have all of the ingredients and will definitely make this seasoning. I especially like that it has no salt.
I’m SO glad you are planning to try it!! It’s our favorite.
